This “New York Desk” is made from highly figured and curly maple, featuring hand cut dovetails, free edge slab drawers, mid century legs and brass reinforcements throughout. The back edge is square, and the cabinet has a solid wood back so it can go against a wall or in the middle of a room.. we had a lot of fun designing this one, and love the subtle details throughout. Finished with 2 coats of hand rubbed Odies oil before the Odies wood butter wax, which really brought out the curl and depth in the drawer fronts! The wood is all salvaged/saved from the Hudson Valley.
