For the past 6+ years we have been working in the Luxury Travel industry. I (Jordan) still run our travel agency while also working full time for our business on the farm. Max is finally making the move from working in luxury travel, to following his (our) dreams full-time. We often get asked how we run two business that are so different from one another. The truth is, they aren’t all that different. Our travel clients enjoy luxury vacations and our furniture clients enjoy high end, luxury furniture.
The last year and a half has given us a lot of time to reflect on life. We spent many days and nights questioning, planning, and dreaming. Not everyone gets to truly do what they love. Not everyone gets to work at home and design + create art/furniture. We are very fortunate in that regard.
There came a time when we decided that we were going to finally pursue our dreams full time and stop putting them on the back burner. That alone is a hard decision to make. Leaving a paycheck on the table to follow your dreams with the hope that you would succeed.
If COVID has taught us anything, it’s that life is too short not to do what you enjoy. The choice to “do you” and believe in yourself isn’t easy. Will there still be challenges and stress? Absolutely. But will it be worth it? Absolutely.
We have such a passion and love for our business. We have a passion for what we do and how we do it. And best of all, we get to do it together- as a husband and wife team.
