This natural ebonizing process is inspired from a traditional Japanese technique called Yakasugi for preserving Cypress wood outdoors. Accents and inlays are in sugar maple.

The burning and wire brushing process results in a pronounced yet subtle raised grain. . Woods used are Ash, with Sugar Maple legs and accents. Finished with a polymerized tung oil.
